Margaret Paik
Margaret Paik is a third-year student at Brooklyn Law School, Co-President of the Korean American Law Students Association, and Vice President of Alumni Relations for APALSA. Before law school Margaret spent nearly a decade in corporate and digital strategy and public relations with Giorgio Armani, Estée Lauder, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Meta, and has run a consulting business since 2018 serving startups and small businesses across New York City. At the law school Margaret has worked with Sanctuary for Families and with Family Court Legal Services at the NYC Administration for Children’s Services. After graduation Margaret plans to focus on intellectual property and cybercrime, particularly where they intersect with domestic violence and technology-facilitated abuse.
Allison Liman
Allison Liman is a third-year student at Brooklyn Law School and Outreach and Business Manager for the Journal of Law and Policy. A journalism graduate of Indiana University, Allison served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Ramón E. Reyes in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and spent the summer of 2026 as a Medical and Life Science Summer Associate at Harris Beach Murtha. After graduation Allison plans to focus on emerging companies and general corporate work.
Khila James
Khila James is a third-year student at Brooklyn Law School and an International Business Law Fellow at the Dennis J. Block Center for the Study of International Business Law. Before law school she founded and ran Haus of Business, advising 150+ startups on entity formation, IP, and compliance and growing the firm past $2.5M in revenue — so she arrives at BLIP already fluent in the founder’s side of the table. She’s since interned in legal and compliance at Bloomberg and clerked in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and at the clinic she’s drawn to the corporate, transactional, and IP work that serves the entrepreneurs she’s spent years helping.
